Landslide Disrupts Train Services Across Northeast India
A landslide in Assam's Dima Hasao district has disrupted train services to Barak Valley, Tripura, Mizoram, and Manipur. Five trains were canceled and one partly canceled. Restoration work is underway, with help desks set up at key stations for passenger assistance.

A landslide in Dima Hasao district, Assam, has severely disrupted train services across several northeastern Indian states, including Barak Valley, Tripura, Mizoram, and Manipur.
According to Northeast Frontier Railway CPRO Kapinjal Kishore Sharma, the incident, which occurred on the Lumding-Badarpur hill section, led to the cancellation of five trains and the partial cancellation of another.
Efforts for restoration are in progress as senior railway officials are on the site. Help desks have been established at important stations like Guwahati, Lumding, Silchar, Badarpur, and Agartala to assist passengers affected by the disruptions.
