In a strategic expansion move, NASDAQ-listed travel booking giant MakeMyTrip has onboarded 900 properties across key UK cities through a partnership with Premier Inn, the largest hotel chain in the region.
MakeMyTrip's strategy focuses on directly contracting hotels in popular outbound destinations, successfully adding over 2,000 hotels in the past year. These properties span 50 cities across 20 countries, collectively representing over half of India's outbound travel destinations.
Rajesh Magow, Co-Founder and Group CEO of MakeMyTrip, emphasized the significance of this expansion, particularly citing the UK as a favored destination for Indian travelers. Premier Inn's Tim Sleep noted the partnership's potential to boost brand awareness in India.
