Thane Gas Tanker Mishap: Swift Response Prevents Chaos

A tanker carrying 16 tonnes of Propylene gas crashed into a metro bridge pillar on Ghodbunder Road, Thane, temporarily disrupting traffic. Thankfully, no leakage or injuries occurred. The situation was contained within four hours by the Disaster Management Cell with the aid of emergency response teams.

A tanker carrying 16 tonnes of Propylene gas collided with a pillar of the under-construction metro bridge on Ghodbunder Road, Thane. The incident, which occurred on Monday, resulted in a temporary traffic disruption, according to local police.

Despite the crash, there were no reports of leakage or injury. Senior officials confirmed that the situation was controlled after a diligent response effort lasting four hours.

Yasin Tadvi, chief of Thane Municipal Corporation's Disaster Management Cell, stated that the gas tanker was en route from Kalamboli in Navi Mumbai to Ankleshwar when it struck a metro pillar. Prompt action by traffic police, the fire department, and the disaster management cell ensured that the tanker was safely moved to the side of the road.
