In a move to enhance amenities for travelers, the government has announced that baby-feeding rooms are now available at 452 railway stations nationwide. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw disclosed this development in Parliament, highlighting stations in Maharashtra and West Bengal as key beneficiaries.

This announcement came in response to inquiries from MPs regarding the availability and condition of 'Shishu Aahar Kaksh,' or baby-feeding rooms, across the country. The minister emphasized the ongoing effort to provide these facilities, citing needs based on passenger volume and budget considerations.

Ensuring a safe and clean environment for mothers and infants is paramount, Vaishnaw stated. Regular inspections are conducted, and clear signage is provided to guide passengers to these rooms. Railway staff are also trained to offer necessary assistance, reinforcing the government's commitment to passenger comfort and inclusivity.
