The Delhi Traffic Police have announced that the District Centre flyover in Janakpuri will undergo repairs starting August 2, leading to a full suspension of traffic for a month.
The Public Works Department will conduct repair work, resulting in the closure of the Shivaji Marg carriageway from Uttam Nagar to Tilak Nagar at the flyover level. Traffic will be rerouted to a parallel slip road to maintain flow.
Emergency vehicles will be allowed but may experience congestion. The police advise commuters to avoid the flyover, plan ahead, and use alternative routes to minimize delays. Signage and staff will be present to assist travelers.
