In a strategic move to boost its global footprint, VinFast has inaugurated a state-of-the-art electric vehicle assembly plant in Tamil Nadu, India. This facility is a testament to VinFast's ambition to establish a significant presence in the world's third-largest automobile market.
Located in the SIPCOT Industrial Park, the plant spans 400 acres and features advanced production lines with cutting-edge technologies. It is designed to produce 50,000 vehicles annually, including premium electric SUV models, VF 7 and VF 6, with scalability up to 150,000 units.
VinFast's new facility promises to create thousands of jobs, supporting both direct and indirect employment in the region. It aligns with the company's goals to foster sustainable mobility and local economic growth, while also setting the stage for Tamil Nadu to become a key manufacturing hub in South Asia.
