In a landmark event for women's health advocacy, a state-of-the-art Breast Cancer Screening Centre was inaugurated in Dokiparru village, Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh. The center is a collaborative effort by Mrs. Sudha Reddy and beauty ambassadors like Miss World 2025 and Miss Asia 2025, aiming to mitigate breast cancer morbidity in rural parts of India.
The newly established facility by the Sudha Reddy Foundation, in partnership with MEIL Foundation, intends to provide free breast cancer screenings and early detection services to women. This initiative targets a major cause of cancer deaths among Indian women, drawing significant community involvement and support from local leaders and health advocates.
Mrs. Sudha Reddy, the project’s visionary, spoke passionately about the mission, emphasizing early detection as a pivotal tool in the fight against breast cancer. Miss World 2025, Opal Suchata Chuangsri, reflected on her experiences as a survivor, advocating for community unity and awareness. Miss Asia 2025, Krishnah Gravidez, stressed the importance of accessible healthcare for all, highlighting the centre's role in shifting the narrative around breast cancer treatment and prevention.
Ahead of the centre’s opening, the dignitaries announced the next Pink Power Run 2.0, slated for August 20, 2025, in Hyderabad. This event is part of the ongoing efforts to promote breast cancer awareness and early detection.
