This transfer, a slump sale to be effective from October 1, 2025, was approved by the company's board on Friday.

The subsidiary is poised to advance the environmental solutions sector, with a focus on conceiving, designing, and manufacturing innovative products for sale and distribution. Managing Director Prashant Nagre emphasized the creation of a specialized entity as a means to accelerate growth and foster innovation.

Despite the strategic shift, Fermenta Biotech faced a slight dip in the stock market, with shares trading 1.2 percent lower at Rs 338.40 on the BSE. This move underscores the company's commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable business practices.
