In an unexpected mid-air incident, a passenger on a Varanasi-bound Air India Express flight from Bengaluru mistakenly approached the cockpit door, thinking it was the lavatory. The airline confirmed that safety protocols remained uncompromised.
The situation was promptly reported to authorities upon the flight's arrival. As part of the standard procedure, the passenger and his eight companions were detained for interrogation by CISF personnel and transferred to local police in Varanasi.
Praveen Kumar Singh of the Phoolpur police stated that further legal action would be based on findings from the ongoing investigation. All nine detainees, residents of Bengaluru, were on a pilgrimage to Varanasi.
