State-owned NHAI announced plans to increase transparency by displaying both monthly and annual toll pass information at National Highway fee plazas. This initiative aims to boost user awareness about toll passes, making important details about rates and procedures visible to commuters.
In a statement, NHAI confirmed it directed field offices to place detailed signage at all fee plazas under its jurisdiction. These signs, showcasing information in English, Hindi, and local languages, will be prominently placed in areas like customer service zones and entry or exit points of toll plazas.
The NHAI's effort ensures highway users are informed about pass options like the local monthly pass for residents near toll plazas and annual passes available through the 'Rajmargyatra' app. The signage is to be displayed within 30 days and will also be uploaded on project websites for wider accessibility.
