A catastrophic bus fire in Kurnool district led to the tragic deaths of 20 individuals, including G Ramesh's family, while his namesake and friend, N Ramesh, managed to escape.
According to survivor N Ramesh, the fire erupted around 2:30-3:00 am, initially perceived as a tyre burst by passengers. It later engulfed the bus's front, prompting desperate escape attempts, following a collision with a bike on National Highway 44.
Relatives allege bus driver negligence for the accident. While his family perished, N Ramesh broke a window to escape, saving his own family and some others.
