According to survivor N Ramesh, the fire erupted around 2:30-3:00 am, initially perceived as a tyre burst by passengers. It later engulfed the bus's front, prompting desperate escape attempts, following a collision with a bike on National Highway 44.
Relatives allege bus driver negligence for the accident. While his family perished, N Ramesh broke a window to escape, saving his own family and some others.
