Reliance Jio Dominates India's Telecom Sector with Record User Additions

In October 2025, Reliance Jio outpaced competitors in both mobile and broadband markets, adding significantly more users than its closest rivals, according to TRAI data. Reliance Jio reinforced its leadership in India's telecom sector during October 2025, adding more users than any other provider in the mobile and broadband categories, according to data from the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI). The figures highlighted Jio's expanding gap over Bharti Airtel, its nearest competitor.

The TRAI report revealed that Jio added the most active mobile users for the month, bolstering its wireless market presence. Jio's net additions outpaced Airtel's by 1.6 times, propelling the company's market share to 41.4 percent, with a 137 basis point increase over a year.

In the wireline segment, Jio maintained its dominance, adding nearly four times more users than competitors, driven by its robust AirFiber service. In the wireless broadband market, Jio registered the highest net additions, outperforming rivals significantly.
