A passenger aircraft from a private Nepali airline encountered a bird strike while landing at Pokhara International Airport, located approximately 200 kilometers west of Kathmandu. Despite the unexpected occurrence, all individuals on board are reported to be safe, according to airport sources.
The incident involved the 9N AOC aircraft operated by Buddha Airlines during its flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara. The bird strike happened at 3:45 pm, as the plane was preparing to land, confirmed an official from the airport authority.
Subsequent to the incident, a technical team conducted a thorough safety inspection of the aircraft. The inspection revealed minor damage to the aircraft's propeller blade, said an official from the airport authority.
