Bridge Collapse Sparks Inquiry and Injuries in Madhya Pradesh

In Raisen district of Madhya Pradesh, a tragic accident occurred when an old bridge, undergoing repairs, collapsed. Four motorcyclists and several laborers who were on the bridge at the time sustained injuries, officials reported. The section of the bridge gave way on the Bareilly-Pipariya Road near Nayagaon Kala village.
Authorities were quick to mobilize a rescue operation, pulling the injured from the debris and administering necessary medical treatment at Bareilly Civil Hospital. Among the injured are those who suffered minor wounds and were discharged after first aid, according to local police.
The state government has responded by suspending a key manager, A A Khan, at the Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation. A three-member committee led by Chief Engineer Gopal Singh is set to investigate the incident, promising a report within a week, after which further action will be taken against those found culpable.
