Railways Boost Services for Mahaparinirvan Divas

Central Railway will run 12 extra suburban trains on December 6 for Babasaheb Ambedkar's death anniversary, known as Mahaparinirvan Divas. These services aim to accommodate the huge influx of followers visiting Chaityabhoomi in Dadar, operating between six stations from 00:45 am to 4 am.

Central Railway (CR) is set to operate 12 additional suburban train services on December 6, commemorating the death anniversary of Babasaheb Ambedkar. Known as Mahaparinirvan Divas, the day witnesses a massive gathering of followers at Chaityabhoomi in Dadar.

In anticipation of the influx, CR announced that these special trains will run between Parel-Kalyan and Kurla-Panvel stations during the midnight hours from Friday to Saturday. Starting at 00:45 am and concluding at 4 am, the services will cater to the travel needs of attendees.

Chaityabhoomi holds historical significance as the site where the esteemed jurist and social reformer's last rites were held, drawing devotion and respect from countless followers nationwide.
