IndiGo Airlines faced significant operational challenges, leading to over 1,000 flight cancellations in a single day, according to CEO Pieter Elbers.
In a video address, Elbers attributed the disruptions to gaps in planning and the need to reboot the airline's systems and schedules.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) provided relief by pausing the implementation of new Flight Duty Time Limitations, offering critical support during this period. IndiGo remains optimistic about reducing cancellations and stabilizing operations within a week.
