Former President Ram Nath Kovind has articulated a vision for India's ascendancy on the global economic stage, underscoring the significance of digital transformation and economic reforms. He expressed these views while inaugurating the 19th edition of the Punjab International Trade Expo (PITEX) in Amritsar.

In his inaugural remarks, Kovind noted that India is recognized as one of the fastest-growing large economies worldwide. He further commended the spirit of Punjab as a beacon of courage, sacrifice, and enterprise.

Kovind also lauded the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) for organizing the event and encouraged the chamber to replicate PITEX in other regions, suggesting that New Delhi could host a similar event.
