In a significant disruption, IndiGo Airlines cancelled 41 flights at the N S C Bose International Airport in Kolkata on Saturday. According to an Airports Authority of India official, the cancelled flights included 21 arrivals from various destinations and 20 departures to different cities.

This cancellation followed closely after IndiGo managed to gain temporary relaxations in the second phase of the court-mandated new flight duty and rest period norms for cockpit crew. The Kolkata airport had 73 arrivals and 102 departures scheduled on the same day.

Previously, on Friday, IndiGo had already cancelled 47 flights involving both arrivals and departures at the Kolkata airport. The flight disruptions over the weekend spanned across four major airports, affecting travel plans of numerous passengers.
