Train services were halted for over four hours in Assam's Tinsukia-Dibrugarh route on Sunday due to an oversized trailer creating a blockade at a level crossing, according to a Northeast Frontier Railway spokesperson.

The incident, which began around 5:30 AM, involved a trailer from a private contractor working for Oil India Limited. The vehicle stalled after attempting an unauthorized passage at the level crossing 21DD between Lahoal and Chaulkhowa.

Railway authorities quickly arranged road transportation and consumables for affected passengers while the trailer was cleared by 10:10 AM. The driver is now in custody and coordination is underway to ensure accountability and prevent future occurrences.
