A tragic road accident claimed two lives in Madhya Pradesh's Raisen district on Monday. A speeding, iron-laden truck collided with a motorbike carrying a family traveling to pay last respects to a relative.

The collision took place at approximately 10 am near a mill on Bhopal Road, around 80 kilometers from Raisen district headquarters. Sub Divisional Officer of Police Alok Shrivastava confirmed the unfortunate incident in the region.

Motorcycle rider Aleem Mansoori, 60, and his 75-year-old mother, Ghooran, were among the deceased. Mansoori died instantly, while Ghooran succumbed to her injuries en route to Bhopal for advanced medical treatment. The victim's wife, aged 50, is currently receiving treatment for severe injuries in a Bhopal hospital. The accused truck has been seized, and efforts are underway to locate the driver.
