Spectrum Metro project in Noida gets NGT clearance

Commercial project Spectrum Metro in Noida gets a green signal from National Green Tribunal, according to a statement issued here on Wednesday.

Spectrum Metro Project Head Sagar Saxena said, "We have been working as per the guidelines of NGT and the project is already in advanced stage of construction. Also, we are strictly following the orders for Pollution control and are working in accordance to it. The project is being designed keeping all the major aspects in mind."

It was stated that Environment Clearance was granted on June 11, 2016.The Tribunal asked for a report from the State Environment Impact Assessment Authority (SEIAA) in October 2018 to which it stated that the construction of the project was completed in the end of 2017 before filing an application on Environment Clearance. In effect to the statement, a compliance report has been furnished recently by email in December presenting that the project had yet not been completed.

"A high street retail development project is being carried out in Sector 75. The project is centrally located with excellent social and civic infrastructure and is expected to cater to a footfall of almost 8 lakh people with over 100 plus international brands present," he added.

The entire project is a green building development conforming to cost-saving parameters and energy efficient elements and will have a total saleable area of approximately 1.2 mn sq. ft.
