Dense fog led to a catastrophic vehicle pile-up on the Yamuna Expressway early Tuesday, claiming thirteen lives and injuring 35 more, according to police reports.
Authorities confirmed that eight buses and three smaller vehicles collided due to low visibility, leading to several vehicles catching fire.
Rescue operations ensued, and the injured are receiving medical treatment while the Uttar Pradesh government has announced compensations for victims' families.
