A deadly accident occurred on the Purvanchal Expressway in Uttar Pradesh's Barabanki district as a speeding car collided with another vehicle amidst thick fog on Tuesday. According to police reports, two individuals were killed and three others suffered injuries.
The fatal collision transpired near Sariyan village under the Haidergarh Kotwali jurisdiction. A Maruti Ertiga, in an attempt to overtake, crashed into a Mahindra Scorpio, resulting in the Ertiga being hurled into the air before landing in a roadside ditch.
The deceased have been identified as Babloo, aged 35, from Bihar, and Deepak Kumar, aged 36, from Azamgarh. The injured, including Mohammad Tahir, Asif, and Kamruddin Ansari, were treated at a nearby hospital. Local police swiftly conducted a rescue operation, seizing the vehicles and dispatching the bodies for post-mortem examination.
