Rohit Markan Takes Helm of ContiTech's APAC Industrial Solutions

Rohit Markan has been appointed as Executive Vice President Industrial Solutions for ContiTech in the Asia Pacific region, starting November 2025. With extensive industry experience, he aims to optimize operations and shape the group's future direction. Markan succeeds Hannes Friederichsen, managing a broad range of industrial solutions.

Rohit Markan has officially taken on the role of Executive Vice President Industrial Solutions for ContiTech in the Asia Pacific region as of November 2025. He will report directly to Philip Nelles, the head of ContiTech, operating from the company's hub in Singapore.

With over 28 years of diverse leadership experience, Markan is expected to enhance organizational infrastructure and manage industrial operations, including in markets like India, China, and Australia. His previous tenures included significant roles at Roquette Asia Pacific and Dow Chemicals.

Philip Nelles, praising Markan's ability to inspire teams and drive change, is confident in his capacity to navigate ContiTech through its transition to independence in 2026. Markan succeeds Hannes Friederichsen, who is retiring after a long career with the company.
