In a dramatic turn of events, forty passengers survived unharmed when a private bus caught fire in Madhya Pradesh's Raisen district. The incident, which occurred near Bamhori under the Sultanpur police station's jurisdiction, involved a bus traveling from Indore to Rewa.
The fire began unexpectedly in the rear wheel, quickly spreading to engulf the entire vehicle within 20 minutes. None of the passengers initially noticed, but a vigilant truck driver following the bus spotted the flames. He overtook their vehicle and managed to alert the bus driver, prompting an emergency halt on the Jabalpur-Jaipur highway.
Panic ensued as the alarm was raised, but every passenger managed to escape safely. Although physically unharmed, travelers like Santosh Kushwaha and Irfan Khan lamented the loss of their belongings and criticized the transport company for its delayed response. Authorities have filed a case and are investigating the incident.
