Sony India, a key player in consumer electronics, reported a 2.44% increase in revenue for FY25, reaching Rs 7,851.08 crore. Despite this growth, the company saw its total profit dip by nearly 6% to Rs 157.03 crore, as noted in a recent regulatory filing.
The firm's total income, including other sources, was up by 2.45% to Rs 7,917.54 crore. This growth comes after it stabilized revenue from declines following its withdrawal from the mobile phone and laptop markets. India remains a significant market for Sony, ranking fourth globally after the US, China, and Japan.
Looking ahead, Sony India aims to climb the ranks to become Sony's third-largest market globally. In tandem, advertising promotional expenses increased by 2.61% to Rs 183.71 crore, reflecting the company's continued investment in market growth.
