Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis embarked on a journey to Davos on Sunday to participate in the prestigious World Economic Forum (WEF) 2026. His mission is to elevate Maharashtra's status as a formidable growth engine for India on a global scale.

Fadnavis, expressing his determination on social media platform X, emphasized the importance of Maharashtra's role in international economic discussions. The WEF meeting serves as a crucial platform for fostering trust-based engagement, encouraging robust debates, and facilitating public dialogue, with a strong emphasis on promoting investment and economic cooperation.

The Government of India's Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) is actively engaging in the meeting to boost investment in the country. The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has taken the helm as the nodal agency to coordinate activities linked to the India Pavilion. Maharashtra, having secured its place, had previously announced investment commitments amounting to Rs 15.7 lakh crore in Davos 2025, following the execution of 54 memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with both domestic and international investors.
