The Competition Commission of India is launching an inquiry into IndiGo's business practices to determine if the airline has been involved in unfair competition following significant flight disturbances in December 2025.

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has supplied essential data, including route specifics, market share statistics, and average airfare details, to assist this investigation.

Minister of State for Civil Aviation Murlidhar Mohol reiterated the government's commitment to monitoring and adjusting regulatory frameworks to ensure consumer welfare and market fairness.
