A tragic bus accident in Uttarakhand has resulted in the loss of three lives, including two women, and left at least ten others critically injured. The incident occurred on Tuesday when a Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) bus fell into a deep gorge in the Kalsi area of Dehradun district.

The ill-fated bus, which was carrying 36 passengers from Nerwa in Himachal Pradesh to Paonta Sahib, went out of control on the Minus road at Kuanu before plunging 100 meters. In the wake of the tragedy, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu expressed deep sorrow and announced assistance for the bereaved families.

Chief Minister Sukhu engaged telephonically to assess the situation and emphasized the potential use of helicopters for transporting the injured if necessary. Education Minister Rohit Thakur also expressed condolences, directing local authorities to provide comprehensive support and ensure adequate medical treatment for the injured, wishing them a swift recovery.
