Air India Express is expecting to report an operating profit in the second half of the fiscal year ending March 2026. The airline has outlined an investment of USD 70 million to refurbish aircraft cabin interiors, reflecting its commitment to enhancing passenger experience.

With an ambition to grow its fleet to 300 planes and capture a 25% market share by the 2030-31 financial year, Air India Express is bolstering its presence in the domestic and international markets. Currently, the airline operates more than 100 aircraft.

Chairman Nipun Aggarwal highlighted that the airline's positive outlook is supported by improved efficiency, cost management, and robust operation amid industry challenges. Following its integration with AIX Connect, Air India Express has become the second largest Indian airline by domestic routes.
