Vande Bharat Train Vandalism: Youth Arrested in Stone-throwing Incident
Azharudeen AK, a 23-year-old from Thayyil in Kannur, was arrested by the Railway Protection Force for allegedly throwing a stone at a Vande Bharat Express train, significantly damaging its glass pane. The incident, occurring between Thalassery and Kannur, caused a loss of approximately Rs 25,000. Azharudeen is to be presented in court.

A youth was apprehended by the Railway Protection Force for allegedly vandalizing a Vande Bharat Express train with a stone. This act caused severe damage to the train's glass pane, officials reported.
The accused, identified as 23-year-old Azharudeen AK from Thayyil in Kannur, allegedly carried out the act on February 8 between Thalassery and Kannur railway stations. The incident incurred an estimated loss of around Rs 25,000, according to the authorities.
Despite the presence of five others, the investigation determined Azharudeen as the sole perpetrator. Inspector Varghese J led the successful probe, with the accused now set to face court proceedings on Saturday.
