The incident unfolded on Saturday in Chandiput, within the Mohana police station limits, when the vehicle skidded off the road and struck a roadside hillock. The bus was on its way to Luhagudi, when it crashed while attempting to overtake another vehicle.

Authorities confirmed that the seriously injured passengers were referred to MKCG Medical College and Hospital, while others were treated at facilities in Mohana and Chandragiri. Rapid response from locals and police was crucial in rescuing the injured and transporting them to hospitals.
