Tragic Late-Night Collision: Young Lives Lost on City's Outskirts

A tragic accident on the outskirts of the city claimed the lives of five young people when their car collided with a KSRTC bus. The incident, which occurred near Nelamangala, involved a car crossing into an oncoming lane before striking the bus head-on.

All four occupants of the car died immediately, while a fifth was critically injured and later succumbed to injuries at the hospital. Police suspect the driver was speeding and may have lost control of the vehicle. The occupants were all between 17 and 22 years old and lived in Doddabballapura.

Thankfully, the passengers of the bus escaped without significant injuries. Authorities are probing the incident further, with investigations underway to determine whether alcohol played a role. Joint Commissioner of Police Karthik Reddy confirmed that blood samples have been sent for testing, and the backgrounds of the deceased are being reviewed.
