The Guangdong provincial delegation took center stage on March 6, 2026, during an open meeting at the Fourth Session of the 14th National People's Congress in Beijing, captivating 277 journalists from both domestic and international media outlets. The discussion focused on Guangdong's strategic plans as it embarks on the 15th Five-Year Plan period.
Secretary of the CPC Guangdong Committee Huang Kunming elaborated on priorities including reinforcing industry and technology, advancing reforms, and exploring emerging fields such as 6G and quantum technology. Highlighting Guangdong's leadership in regional innovation, Huang extended an invitation to media personnel to discover the province's charm and opportunities.
Governor Meng Fanli emphasized the importance of elevating the service sector, aiming to foster an ecosystem for industrial growth during the same period.
