In Maharashtra's Thane city, a test-drive ended in chaos when a vehicle lost control and veered into a construction pit, leaving three individuals injured. The accident unfolded near a hotel in the Pachpakhadi area of Naupada, according to the Disaster Management Cell.
Officials reported that a Tata Curvv test-drive car collided with an auto-rickshaw and two stationary two-wheelers before careening into a 20-foot deep excavation site for a building project. Trapped within the car, the trio was extricated by local residents before emergency services arrived.
An employee from the automobile showroom was among the injured. Authorities noted that the car's airbags played a crucial role in cushioning the impact and preventing more severe injuries.
