In a tragic series of events, five people lost their lives in two separate road accidents in Chhattisgarh's Korba district. According to police reports, the incidents occurred between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.
The first accident, involving a coal-laden trailer truck, took place in the Pali police station area. The truck driver lost control near Nunera village, overturning the vehicle and crushing three workers on a motorcycle. Identified as Brijpal Singh Kanwar, Mangal Singh, and Om Prakash, the victims were pronounced dead at the scene. Traffic was disrupted for approximately four hours as authorities worked to clear the road.
The second incident involved a grandmother and her granddaughter, who were returning home from a family function when hit by an unidentified vehicle. The tragic event occurred on the Rava main road, leading to the deaths of Nanki Bai and Manisha Kumari. The driver fled, prompting a police investigation.
