Tragic Road Mishap Claims Two Young Lives at Pirappancode

Two young lives were lost in a tragic accident when a stone-laden tipper lorry hit a motorcycle and overturned onto a car at Pirappancode. Adithyan and Julie died from their injuries. The trapped car passengers were rescued and are stable. Police continue investigation into the incident.

A tragic road accident at Pirappancode resulted in the loss of two young lives on Thursday. The mishap occurred when a stone-laden tipper lorry collided with a motorcycle carrying Adithyan (19) and Julie (20), causing the vehicle to overturn and crush a car.

The incident unfolded around 12.45 pm on the Nagarukuzhy-Pirappancode road, as the lorry hit the motorcycle, and subsequently lost control, spilling stones onto the road. Following the impact, the lorry overturned onto a car traveling behind.

Adithyan and Julie were urgently transported to a nearby hospital but were pronounced dead. Police managed to rescue two occupants from the car, who now remain in stable condition. Authorities have registered a case, and investigations are ongoing. The bodies will be released after postmortem.
