In a peculiar incident in Bengaluru, eleven women passengers were booked for causing a disturbance in a metro train. The group, singing loudly, disrupted other commuters during their ride from the Bengaluru International Exhibition Centres to the Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Metro Station line.
The disturbance led to objections from fellow passengers. At the Peenya Industrial Area station, the situation escalated as some passengers alighted, continuing with a heated argument on the platform, briefly preventing the train's doors from closing.
Metro security personnel, with help from the Hoysala patrol teams, identified and detained the women at various points. Though a non-cognisable report was filed, the women were released after issuing apologies for their behavior.
