In a harrowing incident at Thane railway station, a 30-year-old passenger lost both his legs while attempting to disembark from a moving train.
The accident occurred at 9:50 pm when the Indrayani Express began to depart, and Purushottam Paswan, hailing from Jharkhand, tried to alight. In the process, he tragically lost his balance and fell into the narrow gap between the train and platform.
With severe injuries, Paswan was initially rushed to Thane Civil Hospital but later transferred to Mumbai's Lokmanya Tilak Municipal General Hospital for advanced treatment. The GRP is investigating the incident, with authorities emphasizing the dangers of attempting to board or alight from a moving train.
