Haryana has emerged as the front-runner in State GST collection growth for the fiscal year 2025-26, leading the nation with a remarkable 21.5% rise. According to the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), the state's post-settlement SGST collection hit Rs 48,289 crore, a significant leap from the Rs 39,743 crore recorded in FY25.
This impressive growth rate far surpasses the national average growth of 5.7%, placing Haryana in the fifth position nationwide in terms of gross domestic GST collection. An official spokesperson noted that the state's total GST collection increased by 8.6% in FY26, again beating the national average increase of 6.4%.
The government attributes this exceptional performance to robust economic activities, an expanding taxpayer base, and improved compliance measures bolstered by the use of advanced technology and monitoring techniques.
