The homegrown activewear brand TechnoSport is ambitiously targeting Rs 1,000 crore in revenue by the 2026-27 fiscal year. This growth is underpinned by an enhanced brand presence in the domestic market and increased exports, according to CEO Puspen Maity.
The company, with a robust distribution network of approximately 7,000 retailers nationwide, is eyeing stronger footholds in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Odisha, and Maharashtra, among other states. TechnoSport also plans to escalate their direct-to-consumer (D2C) online presence alongside the expansion of exclusive brand outlets, with a leap from 40 to 135 stores expected by the end of the next fiscal year, all company-owned.
Additionally, TechnoSport's manufacturing strength comes from its three company-owned units in Tirupur, Tamil Nadu. Initially, export plans will target the Gulf countries, with future explorations into North Africa and Asia amidst careful monitoring of geopolitical conflicts in the Middle East. Funding for this strategic expansion is anticipated to come from a combination of debt and internal accruals.
