In a bid to propel sustainability in Panipat's textile sector, a Green Financing Workshop was recently held under the EU Switch Asia – Green Threads Project. Spearheaded by the Young Entrepreneurs Society (YES), the workshop gathered 152 MSMEs and exporters to discuss green financing solutions and evolving global market needs.

Organized by the Foundation for MSME Clusters (FMC), the event welcomed significant stakeholders from the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) and Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI). The session highlighted SIDBI's green financing initiatives tailored for MSMEs, focusing on products like SPICE and EV financing to support sustainable industry practices.

Other key moments included the launch of Sustainable Production Manuals for the Panipat Textile Recycling Cluster and a Digital Product Passport initiative, aimed at enhancing traceability. The workshop aligned these efforts with future EU regulations, stressing the importance of traceability and sustainability in maintaining a competitive edge in global markets.
