Telangana's Aviation Leap: New Airports on the Horizon
Telangana's Revenue Minister, Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, announced plans for new airport projects in Warangal, Adilabad, and Kothagudem. The state has allocated land for the Warangal airport and is coordinating with national ministries for the Adilabad airport. A feasibility report is pending for Kothagudem.

Telangana is preparing for a major expansion in aviation infrastructure, with new airports planned in Warangal, Adilabad, and Kothagudem. State Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy revealed that the government has transferred 953 acres to the central authorities for the Warangal project.
Efforts are underway to develop Adilabad's airport through a partnership among the Defence Ministry, the Ministry of Civil Aviation, and the state government. A comprehensive master plan is in the works, and land acquisition is progressing steadily.
A feasibility report is being prepared for Kothagudem following the Civil Aviation Ministry's advice against the initially proposed site. These developments highlight Telangana's commitment to enhancing connectivity and boosting economic growth.
