AIESL's Ambitious Ascent: Expanding International Horizons

State-owned AIESL is increasing its international service offerings from its Nagpur facility, aiming to support Airbus aircraft maintenance and passenger-to-freighter conversions. With over 240 aircraft checks completed, AIESL's skilled engineers recently restored a retired Air India Boeing 777, marking significant progress for the company and Indian aviation.

State-owned AIESL is eager to enhance its international service options and expand the capabilities of its Nagpur facility. Efforts are underway to gain approval from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) for Airbus aircraft maintenance.

Recently, the Nagpur team achieved a significant milestone by restoring an Air India Boeing 777 that had been grounded for over six years. Previously part of Air India, AIESL now operates as a major MRO service provider under government ownership.

AIESL's Nagpur facility has completed maintenance checks on more than 240 aircraft, including Boeing and Airbus models. Future plans include exploring passenger-to-freighter conversions for Boeing planes, which could further boost business opportunities.
