Chaos As JET-2024 Exams Cancelled Due to Paper Shortage

The Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) announced the cancellation of JET-2024 exams for two subjects at two venues due to a scarcity of question papers and problems with readability. These exams were scheduled at Sardar Patel Public School in Bokaro district and ASTVS District CM School of Excellence in Ranchi.

The subjects affected include education (Code-009) and Oriya (Code-023), according to the Commission's statement. An official release cited 'insufficient question papers and readability issues' as the reasons for the abrupt cancellation, affecting scores of examinees.

In Bokaro, agitation erupted among candidates when they discovered Oriya test papers were insufficient in number. Law enforcement, led by Bokaro SP Nathu Singh Meena, addressed the scene after receiving reports of the disruptions. The Commission assured that new dates for the postponed exams will be announced in due course.
