Milestone Achieved: Telangana RTC Merger and Pay Revision Secured

Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy urged employee unions of the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation to draft an action plan for their demands. The government agreed to significant concessions, including RTC's merger with the state, a pay revision, and provisions for pending employee wages after recent strikes.

The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (RTC) has reached a notable agreement with the state government. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy met with employee union representatives and officials to negotiate the demands.

The government promised to fulfill several significant demands, confirming an 11 percent pay revision and agreeing to merge the RTC with the government. Payment for wages during recent strikes will also be honored, as well as the withdrawal of legal cases against striking employees.

This agreement marks a substantial victory for RTC employees following April 24 discussions between the Joint Action Committee and the cabinet sub-committee. Additionally, plans were set to construct new bus terminals, boosting the corporation's infrastructure considerably.
