BuildAhome Celebrates a Decade of Disruption with Over 1,700 Bookings
Marking ten years in the home construction sector, buildAhome has transitioned from a startup to a key player, achieving 1,700 home bookings. With a focus on sustainable homes and transparency, they've expanded across multiple cities and are recognized for their green initiatives and strategic collaborations.
In a sector often characterized by fragmentation, buildAhome's decade-long journey marks a significant transformation. Celebrating their tenth anniversary, the company announced the accomplishment of over 1,700 home bookings, signaling its emergence from a small start-up in Bengaluru to a prominent player across multiple cities.
Established in 2016, buildAhome began modestly, with just ten home projects, including an innovative green home that set the tone for its sustainability focus. Over the years, their operations expanded beyond Karnataka to Tamil Nadu, spanning at least eight cities. The firm reflects a shift in consumer preferences towards transparent, integrated home construction solutions, managing 20 projects initially and reaching a milestone of 100 homes by the 2019-20 fiscal year. By 2025-26, their bookings surpassed 1,700.
The workforce also saw substantial growth, expanding from four to over 200 employees, illustrating both operational scale and growing market acceptance. Notably, buildAhome delivered more than 50 green homes, securing recognition with a Platinum Certification from the Indian Green Building Council for the 'Urvi' project. Strategic initiatives, such as the Bengaluru experience centre and appointing Rahul Dravid as brand ambassador, further enhanced the company's reputation, emphasizing discipline and transparency. CEO Abhijith Ramapriyan underscores their commitment to innovation and sustainability as they aim to penetrate new markets like Coimbatore, targeting the urban demand for reliable and quality construction solutions.
