Navayuga Engineering Company Limited claims a Guinness World Record for constructing the world's widest underground tunnel as part of the Mumbai-Pune Expressway Missing Link Project. This 13.3 km link aims to reduce travel time by 30 minutes, enhance regional connectivity, and set new benchmarks in engineering excellence.

On May 1st, Navayuga Engineering Company Limited achieved a historic milestone, earning a second Guinness World Record for the Widest Underground Tunnel, constructed as part of the Mumbai-Pune Expressway Missing Link Project. Lauded as an engineering marvel, this achievement underscores India's infrastructural prowess and bold vision.

Under the leadership of Maharashtra's Hon'ble Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis, this transformative project was envisioned and executed to enhance connectivity by bypassing the congested Khandala Ghats. The expressway now decreases travel time between Mumbai and Pune by 30 minutes, improving the region's critical transport corridor.

The project, employing state-of-the-art technologies and safety systems, included extensive excavation and construction under challenging terrain utilizing over 7,600 tonnes of steel and more than 1.1 lakh cubic metres of concrete. This accomplishment marks a benchmark for future infrastructure projects, driving India's growth and regional mobility.
