In response to the ongoing crisis in West Asia, the Indian government has guaranteed uninterrupted fuel supply and implemented contingency plans to stabilize key sectors. The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has assured citizens of 100% availability in domestic LPG, PNG, and CNG supplies. Authorities urge the public to avoid panic buying.
The ministry emphasizes the importance of relying on official sources for accurate information as it scales up initiatives to stabilize energy availability. Household LPG supply is prioritized, along with rationalization measures like extending LPG booking intervals and promoting alternative fuels, such as kerosene and coal.
Amidst fluctuating global prices, the government has reduced excise duty on petrol and diesel and slashed export levies to shield consumers from price hikes.
