Retail chain Shoppers Stop faced a financial setback in the March quarter, reporting a consolidated loss of Rs 16.35 crore. This marks a sharp contrast to the net profit of Rs 1.99 crore from the same period last year.

Despite a revenue increase of 13.7% to Rs 1,209.79 crore, the Raheja-family promoted company's total expenses climbed by 14%, reaching Rs 1,241.99 crore. Overall income, including other sources, rose 12.6% to Rs 1,218.42 crore.

For the complete FY26, Shoppers Stop reported a loss of Rs 36.09 crore even as consolidated income rose by 8.83% to Rs 5,095.46 crore. Shares closed at Rs 295.15, down 1.60% on BSE.
